What doesn’t it take? Area Managers are required to apply their leadership skills, commercial awareness, and technical management abilities on a daily basis. Managing a heavy workload and coaching team members to fulfill their potential requires a level head under pressure and outstanding organisational abilities. Our Area Managers must possess an undergraduate degree evidencing a strong academic record and a minimum of 3+ years’ business experience. Being responsible for 3-5 multimillion dollar businesses means that all Area Managers must be ambitious, self-motivated, driven, and above all hardworking.

The role of an ALDI Area Manager certainly is a challenging one. It’s fast-paced and demanding with long hours, high expectations, and tough goals to achieve. You can’t be afraid of getting your hands dirty and with 40-60 team members across a number of stores, you must possess outstanding interpersonal and time management skills. There’s no such thing as a typical day or challenge so developing a broad skillset is vital. Furthermore, whilst we’ll put all your problem solving skills to the test, you still need to operate within a structured organisation that prides itself on consistency.
