What it takes to be a Transport Section Leader
Can you coordinate 40 trucks on the road at the same time? Our Transport Section Leaders can. They’re the ones who make all the pieces fit together, whether it’s coordinating delivery schedules to an ever growing store network, running the day to day operations of the transport area, or managing the rostering and training of team members. Prior logistics experience is a must to be successful in this role, but more than that, we’re looking for results driven leaders with strong organisational skills and the ability to delegate effectively.

The role challenges:
It’s a fast-paced, hands-on role with a heavy workload, so it’s essential to possess a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing situations. You’ll have to balance the demands of serving our store network, while controlling costs and achieving the high standards and KPIs we set for all our departments. Multitasking and time management are equally important in servicing our growing store network. This growth means additional exciting challenges for the role including hiring new team members and implementing new procedures. The work environment is very structured, so our leaders must be self-disciplined and organised.
