An exciting opportunity for a Buying Office Assistant has become available within the Corporate Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury.

This is a newly created role responsible for providing administrative support to the Buying Director and Buying Assistants. This Buying team manage the sourcing, development and evaluation of our garden & DIY category - from concept to stores.

 

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an organised Office Assistant with a positive mindset to join our busy Buying team. They will provide exceptional administrative support to the Buying team through a variety of tasks to assist them in achieving category growth. The successful candidate will be highly organised, experienced in administration and exhibit a positive ‘can do’ attitude.  

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience providing administrative support within a versatile environment, alternatively graduate applications are welcome
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills and IT literacy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confidence to liaise with all levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to problem solve and use initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take on responsibility, work autonomously and be a team player
  • High level of professionalism and dedication
  • Flexible to complete adhoc tasks as required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide the Buying team with administrative and product support
  • Maintain the Buying Directors calendar, staying aware of daily movements
  • Product sample management
  • Provide assistance to the Buying Assistants with due diligence checks
  • Organise travel and accommodation arrangements on behalf of the Buying Director
  • Collect and distribute of incoming mail
  • Submit courier request forms
  • Complete competition and catalogue checks as directed
  • Provide cover duties where necessary

 

This role reports to the Buying Director.
