A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join the Central Procurement department within ALDI Australia. The Central Procurement department is responsible for managing and supporting all Goods and Services Not For Resale (GNFR) Procurement activities throughout the business with a view to drive value from supplier relationships, manage risks and control costs.

As a Procurement Officer you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement department and other stakeholders across Regional and Corporate departments, managing an efficient flow of both internal and external correspondence and reporting. You will assist in contract and supplier administration and will work collaboratively across a wide range of Procurement projects. The ideal candidate will be very well organised, efficient and a great communicator.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Coordinating flow of information from internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating tender events with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Administering contracts
  • Supplier sourcing and vetting
  • Maintaining a national contracts database
  • Assisting Procurement Managers with executing category management plans
  • Keep suppliers up to date with relevant business details
  • Checking of ordering and invoice data against contracts
  • Tracking key KPI’s to assist in Supplier Relationship Management
  • Developing policy and procedure documents
  • Liaising with external lawyers and consultants

Essential Criteria; 

  • Proven organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure across multiple projects
  • A strong record of being self-driven and demonstrating initiative
  • A team player, able to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Professional and polite communication style
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience using Microsoft Office
  • Confident using varied software systems and platforms
  • Results and solutions orientated
  • Strong commercial and legal awareness
  • Tendering and Procurement experience across indirect and/or Logistics areas of spend will be an advantage

The Procurement Officer reports to the Procurement Manager and communicates directly to other Officers, Regional Departments and external parties. The Procurement Officers will work collaboratively with the entire team on a wide range of Procurement categories and projects.

*Salary includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location and ALDI experience.
