A unique and exciting opportunity exists to support the National Procurement department within ALDI Australia. The National Procurement department is responsible for managing and supporting all Goods and Services Not For Resale (GNFR) Procurement activities throughout the business with a view to drive value from supplier relationships, manage risks and control costs.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting insights from spend, supplier and market data in order to identify opportunities for improvement to costs and supply chain management and assist in decision making. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, a good communicator and able to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, projects and deadlines.

You will be responsible for:

  • Analysing and reporting historical and forecast spend and supplier data
  • Developing processes and structure for automating data sourcing and reporting
  • Creating and preparing dashboard reporting
  • Updating a benefit management toolkit and tracking results
  • Assisting in identification, assessment and monitoring of information/data to be used in decision making, planning and forecasting
  • Developing and maintaining key performance analytics for the Logistics & Services department
  • Development of Price, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) , Net Present Value (NPV) and Return On Investment (ROI) models
  • Managing systems, tools and software utilised within the National Supply Chain department


Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Business, Commercial or Procurement Analytics
  • Proven commercial and business acumen
  • High level of computer literacy across multiple programs including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel, financial data analysis and data modelling
  • Advanced macros & VBA skills
  • SQL and/or Microsoft Access will be highly regarded
  • Advanced analytical and strategic skills
  • Ability to self manage workload, plan, execute and prioritise across multiple projects and deadlines for a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience extracting and cleansing data from multiple systems
  • Experience dealing with a range of technology maturities

*Salary includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location and ALDI experience.
