An exciting new opportunity to join the eCommerce team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full time role.


As an eCommerce Manager (Operations and Fulfilment), you will be charged with setting up and managing the fulfilment of ALDI’s eCommerce operation. You will be responsible for process optimisation and project implementation, leading a team, as well as development and maintenance of internal and external stakeholder relationships.


What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader and project management professional with demonstrated experience within the logistics, warehousing and/or operations space. With a passion for eCommerce, you will be highly efficient in managing stakeholders, meeting deadlines and ensuring project outcomes are achieved. Candidates with prior experience in online retail will be highly regarded.


Selection criteria:

  • 3+ years’ leadership experience with minimum 3-5 years’ experience within a relevant field
  • Tertiary education highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse, stock and/or supply chain management
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Expert problem solving skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high stress situations
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and implementation of new programs and processes
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
  • High level of professionalism and dedication

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage stock availability, warehousing and delivery procedures
  • Monitor stock movement to ensure optimal warehousing practises are met
  • Implement operational process improvement initiatives
  • Track project milestones to ensure successful outcomes
  • Manage the implementation of multiple dynamic project implementation projects concurrently
  • Manage a team and contribute to their professional development
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with third party providers
  • Drive business partnering projects with Buying, Logistics, Store Operations and other key internal departments


This role reports to the eCommerce Director.
