An exciting new opportunity to join the Marketing team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time role.


As a Market Research Assistant, you will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of market insights, in order to monitor, assess and ensure optimal business performance. In this role you will provide planning and organisational support to the team by assisting with stakeholder collaboration and project coordination.  You will also be instrumental in the design and implementation of research studies and present findings accordingly.


What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of research methodologies, an analytical competency and strong attention to detail, within a market research environment. With excellent communication skills, you will possess the confidence to effectively engage with key stakeholders and articulate recommendations.


Selection criteria:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience within market research, preferably within the retail industry
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing research projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong competency in data analysis and visualisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience developing strong relationships with various stakeholders, with agency management desirable
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong problem solving skills with high attention to detail

Your responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate a variety of research projects to ensure successful implementation
  • Support the design and delivery of research studies and projects
  • Partner with research agencies and other key stakeholders
  • Monitor, collate and assess research findings
  • Analyse, interpret and visualise data
  • Collaborate with various team members and business units to ensure effective application of insights


This role reports to the Executive Manager - Marketing.
