We are looking for an experienced professional with outstanding attention to detail and effective communication skills. This position is permanent part time - 20 hours per week, and based at our Regency Park(SA) Distribution Centre. The position is challenging, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Working in a fast paced environment, the successful candidate will have a diverse role and be in contact with multiple stakeholders.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assessing Fresh products based on agreed ALDI specifications
  • Communicate with the Quality Control Team Leader regarding product quality, specifications or any other relevant information which will assist them in decision making
  • Adhere to all current legislative and ALDI internal requirements and responsibilities, including controls, procedures and guidelines (e.g. Product Recall, Employee Handbook, Food Safety, National and Department Handbooks), and maintain adequate records at all times
  • Ensure an ongoing understanding of current quality related issues

The following attributes will be considered favourably in the selection process:

  • Experience and ability in a similar environment
  • Previous experience within the retail industry - focused in the fresh produce/ meat areas
  • An outcome focused approach with the ability to make decisions and ‘action’ outstanding issues
  • Being highly organised with an ability to multi task and possess excellent time management skills
  • A positive outlook and open communication style combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and across multiple projects at the one time
  • The ability to adapt to changing circumstances at short notice
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
  • Committed and available Monday to Sunday
