An exciting new opportunity to join the AHEAD Assortment Deployment team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This role is a 2-year secondment.


As a Deployment Manager (Data Migration), you will be instrumental in the maintenance of data cleansing and management of local data migration to the new IT solution delivered by AHEAD. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring data migration activities and project implementation are accurately planned and executed. You will lead and motivate a team of high performers and solve business challenges.


What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong understanding of ALDI data management processes and internal IT systems. You will be an adaptable and resilient self-starter who demonstrates initiative and is able to manage and influence stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the capacity to participate in international conference calls outside of regular business hours.  


Selection Criteria:

  • Detailed understanding of local IT system and data requirements essential
  • Extensive experience with large data management with a focus on data privacy and security
  • Experience leading a team highly regarded
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain new processes and systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating workshops
  • Confidence to drive Australian business needs, whilst considering international alignment
  • Experience with SAP programs favourable
  • Proven exposure to project management methodologies, processes and tools
  • High level of business acumen with excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly in Excel with strong analytical skills,
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with high attention to detail

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage local data cleansing and migration activities while maintaining alignment with the global team
  • Effectively drive process improvement and project management initiatives
  • Manage planning, execution and cutover activities to successfully migrate to new systems
  • Plan and execute user acceptance testing, end user training and documentation
  • Undertake risk management through mitigation or resolution of issues
  • Ensure agreed resourcing, budgets and project milestones are adhered to
  • Lead a team and contribute to their professional development
  • Effectively influence, manage and collaborate with stakeholders  
  • Implement effective change management initiatives and drive strategy


This role reports to the Director - Buying Administration.
