An exciting opportunity for a Corporate Communications Manager has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 15 month fixed term contract.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced corporate communications professional who understands the retail landscape and has the ability to continue to strengthen ALDI’s corporate brand reputation through effective partnership with our suppliers, customers, external stakeholders and internal teams. The successful candidate will be commercially astute, professional and calm.


Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated corporate communications experience with a minimum 8 years’ experience
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field required
  • Previous retail experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategies and leading corporate communication focused activities and campaigns across multiple channels
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting effective corporate media statements
  • Previous experience managing b2b relationships
  • Experience providing consultative services for detailed business reports
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to balance conflicting priorities
  • Proven ability to liaise and consult with stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Ability to problem solve and use initiative, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage ALDI Australia’s corporate press office
  • Manage crisis communication and reactive initiatives
  • Manage and drive initiatives through strong supplier, government and industry engagement
  • Professionally engage and provide consultative services to internal stakeholders
  • Provide professional communication counsel to senior leaders
  • Forecast and manage relevant budgets


This role reports to the Director - Communications.
