This role reports to the Executive Manager - Supply Chain (National Hubs Team) and supports the National Supply Chain Department. The role is a Full Time contract, based in ALDI National Office, Minchinbury.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support the Executive Manager - Supply Chain in a professional and efficient manner
  • Prepare, calculate and provide advice on freight costing options
  • Analyse data to assist with preparation of freight metrics
  • Perform weekly and monthly reporting of operational KPIs, and activities
  • Provide timely and accurate information related to the status of freight movement
  • Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work in his/her area of responsibility
  • Monitor and report on any changes in costs, ordering, freight, or regular operational patterns
  • Implement the new reporting and departmental solutions to achieve effective business outcomes
  • Assist with project tasks, coordination and administration of business improvement initiatives
  • Ensure the efficient processing of information/data and support across all job functions
  • Ensure the efficient flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties
  • Ensure all correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence
  • Ensure the accuracy of all job functions
  • Work as an effective team member to support the team and Executive Manager - Supply Chain
  • Be a constructive team member in the National Supply Chain Department

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience in Supply Chain operations or Domestic Transport / Freight would be highly regarded
  • Ability to understand and clearly articulate the problem/opportunity to stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a small team environment to achieve results
  • Issue resolution, with a focus on long term solutions
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • High level of professionalism, dedication and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) 
  • Effective time management, organizational, multi-tasking skills
  • High attention
  • Perform other related duties as required

    *Includes superannuation and is dependent on ALDI experience.
