Financial Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant within ALDI’s Financial Accounting Department, located at our Minchinbury Head Office. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be a part of a high performing and results driven team with a focus on process, diligence and accuracy. To be successful in this role, you must have a positive attitude towards teamwork, stakeholder management, and an in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles. A key aspect of this role will see you responsible for the month end close process, including balance sheet reconciliation and intercompany process.

Role responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close procedures
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage intercompany accounts and payment process
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Perform P&L analysis to identify miscodings
• Perform SAP testing and other system related admin

• Participation in various ad hoc projects such as system implementations
• Engage in process improvement where applicable

What we’re looking for?

• Unrelenting focus and grit to pursue great results
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accounting environment

• CA/CPA accreditation or equivalent from other countries
• A high level of proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Experience in SAP and Blackline desirable

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to apply problem solving skills, initiative and responsibility for tasks
• Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management

• The ability to manage competing deadlines and work under pressure
