2021_National Supply Chain Technician

This role reports to the National Supply Chain Manager and supports the National Supply Chain Department. This role will be a Full-Time contract, based in Minchinbury.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Support the National Supply Chain Manager in a professional and efficient manner
• Prepare, calculate and provide advice on freight costing options

• Analyse data to assist with preparation of freight metrics
• Provide timely and accurate information related to the status of freight movement
• Communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate freight invoicing to ensure timely payment to business partners

• Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work in his/her area of responsibility
• Ensure the efficient processing of information/data and support across all job functions
• Ensure the efficient flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties
• Ensure all correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence
• Ensure the accuracy of all job functions
• Work as an effective team member to the National Supply Chain Manager. Refer to the National Supply Chain Specialist for specialist knowledge required in completing role
• Be a constructive team member in the National Supply Chain Department

The successful candidate will possess:

• Experience in Supply Chain operations or Domestic Freight would be highly regarded to assist with the efficient coordination and movement of ALDI controlled freight
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• High level of professionalism, dedication and a positive attitude
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to take on responsibility, work autonomously and be a team player
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and high attention to detail
