An exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 14 month fixed-term contract.

 

As an Executive Manager (Customer Insights and Strategy), you will be responsible in supporting the success of ALDI marketing and business strategies through the use of data, to drive strategic decision making.

 

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be an experienced market research professional who understands the retail industry. With proven research experience in both quantitative and qualitative data, you will be able to provide end-to-end solutions and influence cross-functional teams whilst ensuring that the customer is kept at the forefront of the conversation.  

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ combined market research and leadership experience
  • Tertiary qualifications within a marketing related field 
  • Experience within FMCG and retail industries
  • Knowledge of category and portfolio management highly regarded
  • Extensive exposure in customer experience research, design and application
  • Proven success with consumer data driven projects
  • Experience in organising and facilitating both quantitative and qualitative research
  • Demonstrated analytical competency with the ability to assist in data driven decision making
  • Experience managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level accuracy

Role responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage ALDI’s market research and analytics program
  • Act as the central ‘knowledge hub’ for all market research and customer insights within ALDI
  • Coordinate consumer focused quantitative and qualitative research projects
  • Recommend and drive strategic improvements to the ALDI business
  • Manage the roll out of newly developed customer experience program
  • Manage agency relationships across multiple projects
  • Utilise insights to champion the customer voice and support strategic decision making
  • Review, assess and recommend strategic priorities to drive business improvements
  • Deliver and present consistent, accurate and timely reports to the business
  • Encourage stakeholder awareness/engagement regarding customer-centric decision making
  • Mentor and coach the Market Research team
  • Assist the Director with related project and committee work
  • Ensure all controls, policies, procedures and guidelines are followed
