An exciting opportunity to join the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team has become available within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full time role.


As a CR Analyst you will provide advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders and third party providers, with regards to ALDI’s CR plastics and packaging strategy. You will be responsible for ongoing research, data analysis and reporting, in order to support the CR Manager in the development and subsequent implementation of strategy, policies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional within the plastics and packaging industry. With a passion for sustainability, you will be the knowledge hub in your field ensuring continuity of initiatives, activities, technologies and legislative changes.


Selection Criteria:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience within the area of plastics and packaging
  • Tertiary qualification in sustainability highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and data analysis
  • Experience with Tableau and Alteryx highly regarded
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to practically apply sustainability principles and concepts in a business environment
  • Previous experience researching emerging trends, analysing business risks and opportunities
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high stress situations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of professionalism and dedication

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct research in order to keep current on progressive sustainability initiatives
  • Conduct data analysis in order to prepare and complete reports
  • Monitor, develop and implement legislative and organisational policies, guidelines and processes to ensure compliance
  • Provide advice and recommendations in relation to plastic and packaging initiatives
  • Develop proposals, policy documents and resource materials
  • Collaborate with various internal departments and third party providers
  • Design and deliver training to internal and external stakeholders on plastics and packaging
  • Coordinate meetings and deliver presentations as required
  • Identify relevant business opportunities and risks to ensure responsible sourcing


This role reports to the Executive Manager - Corporate Responsibility.
