An efficiently operating Transport Section starts with our Fleet Maintenance Mechanics. Can you fix anything and everything? Then this is the job for you! To succeed in this role, our Mechanics must possess technical and professional expertise, have a keen eye for detail and be able to effectively manage a heavy workload. More than that, it's crucial that our Mechanics are knowledgeable of the ins and outs of all controls, policies and guidelines that relate to our Transport operation and can communicate these effectively to ensure smooth workflow between different work areas.

You will be responsible for:
  • Maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintaining and repairing trucks & trailers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Regularly liaising with the Maintenance Engineer or Section Leader to understand and manage workload
  • Arranging and ensuring maintenance schedules are carried out and providing support where necessary
  • Maintaining a clean, well-organised work environment
  • Operating Heavy Vehicles & Machinery in a safe and efficient manner

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Automotive Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
  • A current HC license
  • A background in maintaining heavy vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Confident and engaging communication skills
  • A level head under pressure
