The National IT team is working on an exciting global transformation project and are looking for a Technical Executive Manager to join the deployment team on a 24-month fixed-term contract.  

In this high impact role, you will be responsible for leading a technical team of IT Analysts and Specialists to provide overarching governance to ALDI’s digital transformation program. Specifically, you will manage the delivery of the Authorisation, Data Migration, Cutover, Test Management and Hypercare cross streams. Working on a large international project, you will liaise with stakeholders across the National and Regional departments operating out of Australia and Europe while building relationships with peers in the UK and US.

To be successful in this role, your leadership abilities will be coupled with extensive experience in project management and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Applicants with top tier management consulting experience are highly regarded (ex-Big 4 or ex-MBB).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive leadership support to a technical team of 1 x Analyst and 6 x Specialists
  • Oversee work streams across various work packages in the transformation program, playing a pivotal role in driving both project management and execution of tasks
  • Support a suite of senior internal stakeholders, providing prompt and clear communication regarding IT program updates and requirements
  • Travel may be required to the Regions around Australia from time to time

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration or related is highly regarded
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Leadership role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management
  • Management Consulting experience (ex-Big 4 or ex-MBB) is highly regarded
  • Excellent people skills with a proven track record of building high performing teams
  • Thrives in a high pressure environment and capable of working autonomously
  • Experience in project reporting and tracking. Agile (SCRUM) project management experience highly regarded.
  • Proven demonstration of accuracy in work and attention to detail
  • Great time management skills and ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks whilst under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with both the national and international business to provide a high level of project management support and technical insight
  • Able to work flexibly and comfortable attending MS teams video calls outside of standard business hours with the international business (e.g. US, UK and Germany)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with proven ability to create advocacy and effect change. Able to provide high quality status reporting and present to senior leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude with a solution based mindset
