An exciting opportunity for an IT Specialist has become available within the Networks team of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury, NSW. This is a 12-month fixed term position.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support to end-users within Aldi
  • Implement and manage complex changes to the network, such as configuration of switches
  • Maintain the network environment and proactively perform checks to ensure high availability
  • Develop high-level detailed documentation including network diagrams
  • Manage projects ensuring network changes are performed at a high level whilst adopting change management and ITIL practices
  • Lead and provide technical support on projects surrounding WiFi  
  • Liaise and consult with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot complex incidents, requests, and changes

Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting switching and routing (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wireless)
  • IT/Network industry certifications - CCNA or higher
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong understanding of protocols including static routing, OSPF, BGP
  • Experience supporting network products (Cisco, Meraki, Juniper or equivalent)
  • Experience with wireless products (Cisco, Extreme Networks or equivalent)
  • Previous experience installing physical hardware
  • Ability to take on responsibility and work autonomously
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to learn new processes and technologies
