Due to continued growth and success, an exciting opportunity for a Specials Executive Manager within our National Special Buys team at ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.

What we are looking for:

The key to success in this role will be the ability to partner with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the business and ensure a high level of operational excellence in executing the Specials Buys program. Your proven ALDI knowledge of Store Operations and Logistics along with project management, analytical experience, strategic thinking, and ability to translate this into actionable outcomes will be critical.

The role will require significant stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business, strong communication skills and the ability to extract complex fact patterns into key messages. Solid interpersonal and communication skills will ensure success as the role partners regularly with all departments across the business.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Key business partner in the Specials Buys program for Regional Store Operations and Logistics
  • Manage a team of Specials Analysts who are responsible for each Region and the execution of the Specials Buys program
  • Optimise Regional performance in the execution of the Specials Buys program
  • Responsibility and oversight on weekly repeat ordering, stock allocation, price changes and management of Specials inventory
  • Regional responsibility and oversight on the Seasonal Special Buys program (Easter and Christmas)
  • Performing fact based, data driven analysis and modelling on significant sets of data for the purpose of creating actionable information required to drive key business decisions
  • Extract and utilise Regional insights to add value throughout the process
  • Routine executional Regional communication including presentations to the Regional Director teams and Regional visits
  • Providing accurate, structured reports and business insights to support sales performance, understand market trends and enhance business forecasting
  • Interpretation, preparation and presentation of results, insights, and recommendations to all business levels

Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field is highly regarded
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a leadership/management role
  • Experienced in organising, manipulating, and analysing large and complex data sets
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint experience
  • Work both independently and effectively with others
  • Leadership and coaching of teams
  • Effective time management and work prioritisation ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
