An exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to manage the weekly catalogue has become available in the Marketing team within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Role responsibilities:

  • Act as the key liaison point between ALDI and our advertising agency and the Buying Department on the weekly catalogue
  • Conduct the approval process for the catalogue with the Buying Directors and Catalogue Marketing Manager/Marketing Director for bi-weekly catalogue sign off
  • Prepare written briefs for the advertising agency for the weekly catalogue
  • Review, assess and provide written feedback to the advertising agency on catalogue spreads
  • Sample management for products
  • Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure all correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence
  • Ensure accuracy of all correspondence
  • Any ad hoc requirements as requested by the Catalogue Marketing Manager/Marketing Director

A bit about you:

  • Minimum 3 years Catalogue experience.
  • Retail knowledge and print industry highly regarded.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A creative eye with an ability to use initiative and think “outside the square”.
  • Highly organised with an ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Professional, trustworthy and diplomatic.
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to make decisions and ‘action’ outstanding issues
  • PowerPoint and presentation skills desirable
  • Creative Agency background highly regarded

This role reports to the Catalogue Marketing Manager.
