An exciting opportunity for a Space Planner working in the Merchandising team has become available within the Corporate Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. 

Our Space Planners act as a central point of communication between the Buying department and greater business in relation to category space planning.

 

What we are looking for:

Working in a fast paced environment, the successful candidate will have a passion for merchandise space planning, strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail. The role will be diverse, challenging and requires a strong understanding of business operational procedures. Prior space planning experience is highly regarded.

 

Selection criteria:

  • Prior demonstrated space planning experience is highly regarded.
  • Prior exposure using space planning software programs is highly regarded.
  • Strong reporting and analysis skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and IT literacy.
  • Prior experience in project management/implementation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability adapt in high stress situations.
  • Ability to learn new programs and processes quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level of professionalism and dedication.
  • Ability to take on responsibility, work autonomously and be a team player.

Role responsibilities: 

  • Liaise with the Buying teams in relation to category space limitations and product positioning.
  • Coordinate space and range recommendations using the Spaceman software.
  • Create and update store planograms.
  • Coordinate in-store planogram implementation.
  • Act as a central point of communication between the Buying department and greater business.
  • Database management.
  • Assist Buying staff with category reviews.
  • Manage various merchandising projects as required.
  • Be a collaborative team member and contribute to both buying and operational procedures.
  • Facilitate training as required.
  • Assist the Merchandising Director and Merchandising Manager in all administrative requirements.

 

This role reports to the Merchandising Manager.
