Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as an Analyst within our Data Analytics team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

This pivotal role will see you immersing yourself in the captivating world of data at ALDI, a place where every number tells a story. As a part of our Data Analytics team, you'll be instrumental in using data-driven methods to transform vast amounts of raw data into valuable insights that guide our decision-making.

From machine learning to statistical modelling, you'll employ advanced techniques to dissect and understand complex data sets. And it's not just about analysis - it's about communication too. Through data visualisation, you'll transform intricate data into a form that's easily understandable, enabling informed decision-making across various sectors of our business.

What does the role look like? 

  • Create predictive models and conduct comprehensive data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, using statistical techniques to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data analytics use cases that align with organisational goals and strategic priorities
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to understand business requirements, data availability, and feasibility of proposed use cases
  • Develop detailed use case documentation, including objectives, scope, success criteria, and implementation roadmap
  • Work closely with data scientists and engineers to translate use case requirements into technical specifications and data models
  • Provide expert guidance and advisory to internal teams and business stakeholders on data analytics strategies and initiatives
  • Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Design and execute A/B tests, assess the impact of change to products, and use statistical techniques to analyse results to identify significant insights and assist in decision making

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Excellent data analysis, modelling and engineering skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Documentation management experience comprising requirement elicitation and management, process modelling
  • Microsoft Suite including Advanced Excel (Inc. VBA & Power Query)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Solid coding experience
  • Exposure or proficiency in Tableau (Editor), Alteryx (Editor), A/B testing experience, SAP S4 Hana / BW is desirable
