Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Safety department of ALDI Stores, based in Prestons. This is a permanent full time opportunity.

This role is integral to the efficient operation of the ALDI Safety Department. You will promote and drive a positive safety culture by supporting operational teams in managing health and safety risks.

What does the role involve?

  • Provide technical guidance and advice on health and safety matters by interpreting legislative requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, periodic audits and site visits, and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as directed
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development
  • Respond to WHS incidents for the region, and actively manage your area of responsibility within the team by using initiative, and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
  • Assist in the maintenance and periodic review of the WHS Management system, Safety Online and the Contractor Management System
  • Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in WHS with detailed knowledge of WHS requirements, legislation and best practice preferred
  • Team focused with a solutions-focused approach and ability to collaborate and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in hazard reporting and implementing necessary strategies to reduce risk
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and with direction
  • Minimum Certificate IV in WHS required

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $110,884 - $132,200 (including superannuation)
