Solar, Simplified: ALDI Australia Expands ALDI Solar Across the East Coast
From fresh groceries to fresh energy savings, ALDI Australia is brightening homes across the Eastern seaboard announcing the exciting expansion of ALDI Solar—offering exceptional value and payback periods on solar and battery packages.
From Tuesday 9 September, households in NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT can pre-order an ALDI Solar package, with installations commencing from early November 2025. Developed in partnership with trusted ALDI partner, Tempo, the expanded roll-out builds on the success of a trial in Victoria. ALDI Solar brings a simple, affordable solar and battery package solution to more Australians seeking energy savings.
All-inclusive value, no surprises
ALDI Solar delivers transparency and clear pricing to the solar market offering all-inclusive, upfront pricing with packages starting from just $6,999. Customers can choose from two battery capacities to suit their needs and budgets; all bundled with a 6.6kW solar system and 5.5kW inverter and backed by a 10-year warranty and a 25-year performance guarantee on the solar panels.
ALDI Solar packages include features that are often additional costs with other providers – such as blackout protection– at no extra charge.
Exceptional payback period on solar and battery packages
With support from the Federal Government’s battery rebate and ALDI Solar’s commitment to passing on savings directly to customers, all packages deliver an exceptional payback period. This means customers can access larger battery capacities for less, without compromising on value. These larger batteries enable households to store excess solar energy generated during the day, which can be used during peak energy times to reduce energy bills and deliver a great return on investment.
ALDI’s promise: Solar, simplified ALDI Solar removes the complexity that can often deter Australians from switching to renewable energy. The process is managed end to end through ALDI Solar’s online portal – from roof suitability checks and purchase to efficient installations by SAA certified installers, which typically take just one day. Unlike other providers, ALDI Solar makes access to renewable energy and savings simple, and customers know exactly what they’re getting and at what cost.
Simon Padovani-Ginies, Group Director at ALDI Australia, said: “Bringing ALDI Solar to more Aussies along the Eastern Seaboard is an exciting step for us, expanding our commitment to delivering incredible quality and affordability beyond groceries.
In true Good Different style, and in partnership with trusted ALDI partner Tempo, ALDI Solar delivers outstanding value and makes switching to solar simple and affordable for Aussie households.
With straightforward pricing, flexible battery options, installation by certified experts and an exceptional payback period, ALDI Solar puts power back in the hands of households ready to take control of their energy costs.”
Craig Handley, General Manager of Energy at Tempo, said: “With our climate it’s hard to argue about the benefits of a well-designed solar and battery system for Australian homeowners. However, the path to purchase has often been confusing and difficult. ALDI are set to bring remarkable change to the market with the launch of ALDI Solar, and at Tempo we are delighted to be their partner in this category.
Together with ALDI we want to accelerate Australia’s transition to renewable energy and help Australian homeowners to lower their cost of living long term. Getting the benefits of solar and a battery has never been as simple as ALDI Solar.”
