The Recruitment Process
Step 1
Application
Search the diverse range of jobs on our ALDI careers website. See something you like? Submit your application online.
Step 2
Phone / Video Interview
A recruiter will review your application and resume and if your application is successful your recruiter will invite you to either a phone or video interview. You'll be asked a few questions to determine your suitability for the role.
Step 3
Interview with Hiring Manager
If you're successful you'll be invited to a group or one-on-one interview with a Hiring Manager. At this stage you will also be invited to complete a medical assessment.In your interview don't forget to wow us with your work ethic, drive and passion to work at ALDI.
Step 4
Interview outcome
We know that waiting for an outcome is a bit nerve wracking. That's why you'll hear back from us with an outcome of your interview, as soon as possible, whether you are successful or not. If successful at this stage you'll receive an offer.
Step 5
Offer
Well done on receiving an offer. At this stage you will need to login to the candidate portal and complete the onboarding requirements. This will include filling out some forms and uploading documents. If your recruiter tells you that you require an RSA, you will need to obtain this before your onboarding can be completed
Step 6
Getting ready for your first day!
Congratulations on successfully getting a role at ALDI. Your Manager will contact you directly to provide you details about your first day on the job. You'll also receive some emails from us to help you prepare for your first day. Welcome to the ALDI team!

If my application is successful, am I required to obtain an RSA?
In certain stores you will need a valid RSA (excluding QLD and SA stores). Your recruiter will let you know if your store requires one. Whether you currently have one or will need to get one, our recruitment team will support you the whole way!
How can I apply for a position in a store at ALDI?
You want to work for ALDI? Excellent! To search and apply for our vacant roles, please visit the jobs tab found at the top of this site. Once you have found a role you are interested in in applying for, click 'apply' and follow the prompts. You will be asked to create a Smartr account, which is our online application portal and will allow you to complete your application as well as track the status of your application!
Can I email my application?
Due to the large volume of applications we receive, you will need to apply through our ALDI careers website. This helps us make sure that your application gets to where it needs to go without getting lost! Unfortunately, if you have sent through your resume via email, we will not be able to accept it. If you are having trouble applying on the website, please reach out to us via the contact us form so we can assist.
I have applied for an ALDI position and have not received an update on my application. What should I do?
After you have created a Smartr account (our online application portal) and submitted your application, one of our Recruiters will review your application and advise on next steps or the outcome via email or phone in the following days.

I lost my interview email, where can I see the details of my upcoming interview?
Oh no - not to worry! You can find this by logging into the candidate portal using the link at the bottom of this page. Once in the portal, scroll down to the bottom of the page to see your upcoming event details.
I am unable to attend an interview and would like to reschedule?
You got to the interview stage - that's great! If you are unable to attend your phone, group or one-on-one interview at the specified time, please reply to your email invitation. If additional timeslots are available or further interviews are taking place, the Recruiter will contact you directly to reschedule.
Will I receive feedback on my application or an explanation on why I have been unsuccessful?
If you are unsuccessful at any stage, we will always let you know. Although we would love to provide individual feedback on every application, due to the large volume of applications we receive unfortunately this is not possible. If you have attended an interview, your recruiter may provide more detailed feedback on why you have been unsuccessful.
I would like to withdraw my application but keep my profile, what steps do I take?
We're sad to see you withdraw, but in the case a position is no longer for you, you can withdraw your application, but keep your profile and details on file by using the following steps:
- Log into online application portal using this link.
- Click on the application you would like to withdraw and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Next click 'View options' next to the 'No longer interested in being considered?' text.
- Select the drop-down box and choose 'Withdraw this application' OR 'Withdraw all applications at ALDI'.
- Read through and tick both acknowledgements.
- Depending on what option is selected in Step 4, you will see either 'Yes, I would like to withdraw my application', OR 'Yes, I would like to withdraw all my applications'.
- After clicking the confirmation button, your selected application/s will be removed from our system.
I would like to withdraw my application and delete my profile on your applicant portal, what steps do I take?
If you'd like to remove your profile altogether, follow the bellow steps:
- Log into the online application portal using this link.
- Click on one of your applications and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Next click 'View options' next to the 'No longer interested in being considered?' text.
- Select the drop-down box and choose 'Delete profile at ALDI'.
- Read through and tick all 3 acknowledgements.
- Finally, click 'Yes, I would like to delete my profile'. This will remove not only your account, but also your past and current applications. As this process cannot be undone, you'll need to create a new account in the event you reapply for any roles at ALDI.
Can you tell me when you will be hiring for a specific location or new store?
All of our available jobs are listed on this website. If you cannot find the role/location you are looking for, we may not be hiring for that role/location currently. Sign up to Job Alerts here to be notified when new roles in your chosen requirements become available.
Does ALDI sponsor candidates for positions within stores?
All candidates must have full working rights to apply for a role at ALDI.
Does ALDI offer work experience?
We do not currently offer a work experience program.
