Job Description

ALDI Is growing! We’re looking for an Analyst to join the National Procurement team of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury NSW. This is a permanent full-time position.

As a Procurement Analyst you will play a pivotal role in driving the optimisation of our procurement processes through the analysis of key performance metrics and historical spend and pricing datasets. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective tools and insightful reports, you will continue to ensure cost efficiency and quality of corporate services procured.

What does the role look like?  

  • Develop, maintain and automate spend analytics tools, savings tools and reporting
  • Design and construct detailed analytical reports and dashboards
  • Manipulate and interpret complex data sets, enabling stakeholders to easily understand recommendations and drive decision making
  • Identify improvement opportunities and provide data insight, patterns and trends
  • Recommend changes to spend analytics tools, procurement systems and procurement governance based on industry benchmark and research
  • Build Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) models
  • Maintain key performance analytics to monitor procurement activities and ensure all categories are tracking to their targets and defined strategies
  • Support the Executive Manager and Director with the preparation, interpretation, analysis and presentation of reports, pricing sheets, price submissions and tender information as required

Qualifications

What we need from you?

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Procurement or Commercial Analyst
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes including tendering and contracting
  • Previous experience with SAP ARIBA desired
  • Demonstrated use of Tableau or Power Bi
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong commercial business acumen

This role reports into the Executive Manager - Procurement.

*Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location and experience.
