Grow your career with a global retailer as an Asset Accountant within our Asset Accounting at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month contract position.
As an Asset Accountant, you will be a part of a high performing and results driven team with a focus on process, diligence, and accuracy. To be successful in this role, you will have strong stakeholder management skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and an in-depth working knowledge of accounting principles. A key aspect of this role will see you managing process improvements within the lease accounting space as a subject matter expert.

Key responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert in asset and leasing transactions within the ALDI business.
- Understand IFRS 16, IAS 18 & IAS 16 and be able to apply these principles to real life transactions.
- Troubleshoot and investigate any discrepancies by liaising with various stakeholders to reach solutions in a timely manner.
- Prepare reporting on asset related activities as required by the Team Leader and Executive Manager.
- Identify and work on continuous process improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience within an asset and lease accounting environment.
- CA/CPA accreditation or equivalent from other countries or studying towards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and relationship building skills with the ability to engage across different levels of management.
- Experience in coordinating and managing project tasks and deliverables within Finance.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation.
- Experience in SAP is highly desirable.

Remuneration
- Transparent tiered salary range of $110,000- $132,000 including super
