Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant, within the National Buying department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. You will be working with the Catalogue team, where you will manage new store opening catalogues and weekly catalogues. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position.

What does the role look like? 

  • Act as the key liaison point between ALDI and our advertising agency and the Buying Department
  • Prepare written briefs for the advertising agency
  • Review, assess and provide written feedback to the advertising agency
  • Sample management for products
  • Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work in areas of responsibility
  • Ensure all correspondence is treated in the strictest confidence
  • Ensure accuracy of all correspondence
  • Work on key projects set by the Executive Marketing Manager eg: photography requirements between internal teams and the agency

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Minimum 3 years Catalogue experience.
  • Retail knowledge and print industry highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative eye with an ability to use initiative and think “outside the square”
  • Highly organised with an ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite - PowerPoint and presentation skills desirable
  • Ability to make decisions and ‘action’ outstanding issues
  • Creative Agency background highly regarded
