About the Role

We currently have multiple exciting opportunities for Analysts available within our Category Management team of the National Buying department of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury. These are permanent full-time positions

The Category Management team are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximise sales and profitability across product categories. This includes analysing market trends, managing supplier relationships, optimising product assortment, and ensuring that pricing aligns to the business objectives.

What does the role look like?

  • Create and maintain tools and reports to effectively analyse large data sets across multiple sources and provide key stakeholders with relevant business insights in a timely manner
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and leverage off data-driven insights and recommendations to enable the National Buying department to optimise ranging and category management processes
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams to develop and analyse data needs
  • Providing any other support as required by the Executive Manager to support the broader Buying Department

What do we need from you

What do we need from you?

  • Advanced demonstrated proficiency with data tools and platforms including SQL and Excel to extract, manipulate and visualise data for reporting purposes
  • Demonstrated commercial experience and knowledge in data visualisation tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and business users
  • Experience with data analytics tools and software including Tableau, Python, PowerBI highly regarded
  • FMCG/Retail industry experience highly desirable
  • Experience in conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth within assigned categories

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $139,200 - $158,800 including Superannuation
