An exciting opportunity has become available for an Executive Manager to join the National Data Office of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time position.

We are seeking an experienced Executive Manager to lead our Retail Analytics Use Case Team. This critical role combines people leadership, analytical thought leadership, and product ownership to drive the development and delivery of high-impact analytical use cases. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of initiatives that improve business performance, support experimentation (including A/B testing), and deliver measurable outcomes to the P&L.

What does the role involve?

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data professionals, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytical use cases, to identify opportunities and deliver analytical products aligned with business needs
• Manage a pipeline of analytics initiatives to ensure alignment with financial objectives
• Provide strategic guidance on leveraging analytics to address retail challenges, drive growth, and enhance operational effectiveness across various departments.
• Partner with various teams to execute experiments (e.g., A/B tests) for rigorous impact evaluation and actionable recommendations.
• Champion agile practices in cross-functional teams for swift iteration and improvement of analytical solutions.
• Analyse P&L statements, quantify the financial impact of use cases, and support business case preparation to drive investment decisions.
• Leverage a strong understanding of the analytical tech stack, including data platforms, tools, and processes, to lead high performing technical teams and ensure robust solutions.

• Extensive experience in analytics, product or strategy roles with proven leadership experience. Ideally within retail, FMCG or consumer facing industries.
• Strong business and commercial acumen with a demonstrated success in managing an initiative or product portfolio with measurable financial outcomes.
• Deep understanding of experimentation methods and A/B testing best practices, with proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python)and modern data platforms (e.g.,Databricks).
• A seasoned leader with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams leveraging agile practices, driving collaboration, and aligning stakeholders around data governance objectives.
• A proactive seeker of feedback who fosters personal and team growth through reflection and continuous improvement
• A clear, impactful communicator who informs, inspires, motivates and influences others to drive team success

Remuneration

• Transparent tiered salary range of $159, 000 - $208, 800  including Superannuation.
