Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as an Executive Manager within our National Procurement team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

Stepping into this role, you will become a part of a team that thrives in the strategic management of suppliers and contracts. The services and goods you will oversee will be specific to HVAC, refrigeration and essential services (fire) which are the pillars that support our operations at ALDI.

You will ensure smooth day-to-day functions by ensuring quality and consistency in the goods and services we use. Your contributions will echo throughout ALDI, ultimately reaching our customers, and helping us maintain the quality and value they have come to expect and love.

What does the role look like? 

  • Develop and manage the full end-to-end category procurement of non-merch goods and services nationally
  • Implement facilities contracts, including the on-boarding of relevant suppliers as appointed by Procurement
  • Oversee internal and third-party adherence to facilities compliance requirements with Facilities Management System
  • Manage reporting to analyse trends and demands to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and supplier KPI’s are met
  • Lead, drive and implement procurement projects to facilitate process improvement and cost saving opportunities
  • Coordinate team resources effectively to ensure key objectives and deliverables are met
  • Encourage, develop, train, and motivate employees to reach their full potential
  • Complete all tasks in a manner which complies with ALDI’s Work Health and Safety Policy
  • Carry out tasks requested by the Direct Leader which are in the nature of the job description or necessary to the business

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrated previous non-merch procurement experience
  • Retail operations experience highly desirable
  • Previous experience within HVAC and/or refrigeration categories highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong people leadership skills including influencing skills across a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail 
  • High levels of autonomy and responsibility
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of data analytics and systems (preferred but not essential)
