An exciting opportunity for an Analyst has become available in our Forecasting and Data Analytics team within the National Supply Chain department of ALDI stores. This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
The National Supply Chain Forecasting & Data team are responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and analysing complex supply chain data to support efficient planning and decision-making. They provide critical insights and data-driven recommendations to optimise inventory levels, enhance supply chain performance, and ensure product availability across the national network.

What does the role look like?
- Extract and analyse large data sets to identify key insights that drive business decisions across ALDI's supply chain.
- Develop data driven solutions to complex challenges and enhancing forecasting accuracy.
- Build, test, and deploy machine learning models to solve problems in forecasting, operations, and automation.
- Visualise data by creating and maintaining meaningful reports and dashboards.
- Consolidate multiple data sources and analysing patterns, trends, anomalies, and root causes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the entire supply chain and providing actionable insights.
- Demonstrated professional experience in scripting Python, SQL and R language for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic business environment.
- Experience in forecasting/demand planning within an FMCG environment highly regarded.
- Knowledge in statistics, machine learning, and optimisation methods for experimentation and operational decision-making.
- Experience in SAP forecasting modules and data visualisation tools is an advantage.
- Experience in the data science lifecycle, including development and deployment highly regarded.

Remuneration:
- Transparent tiered salary range of $139,200 - $158,800 including Superannuation.
