About the Role

As a Supplier Compliance Specialist - Human Rights at ALDI, you will have the unique opportunity to enhance ALDI's relationship with socially responsible fresh produce suppliers.

Be the driving force behind the organisations Human Rights policies, processes and training as well as collaborating with suppliers on a national level to ensure compliance with our standards. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, based in Minchinbury.

  • Review and develop human rights training solutions
  • Coordinate National review, feedback and approvals during six-monthly review cycle of International Catalogue of Requirements
  • Lead implementation of sustainability standards into National Procurement and Goods Not for Resale
  • Conduct due diligence on procurement business partners to inform business decisions
  • Monitor and review human rights legislation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners to track performance to business targets
  • Engage with International Sustainability and other ALDI countries on human rights topics.

What do we need from you

  • Demonstrated experience working in a retail, FMCG or corporate sustainability role 
  • Knowledge of human rights and/or buying practices
  • Demonstrated experience in researching, preparing, and communicating information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-developed relationship management skills with proven ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders at varying levels
  • Excellent administration, organisation and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise and take initiative
  • Tertiary qualifications in sustainability or environmental management highly regarded
  • Development and delivery of engaging training.
