Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Procurement Assistant within our National Real Estate Department at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

Stepping into this role, you will become a part of a team that thrives in the efficient procurement of fixtures, fittings and equipment. The services and goods you will oversee, from the seemingly ordinary such as ceilings tiles and wall panelling, to the distinctive, such as our registers being used, are the pillars that support our operations at ALDI.

You will ensure smooth day-to-day functions by ensuring quality and consistency in the fixtures, fittings and equipment that we use. Your contributions will echo throughout ALDI, ultimately reaching our customers, and helping us maintain the quality and value they have come to expect and love.

What does the role look like? 

  • Assist in the end-to-end procurement process including planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting and supplier lifecycle management
  • Apply sound project administration skills to manage timelines, priorities, milestones, issues, and risks
  • Conduct spend analysis, review supplier data, analyse market trends, identify industry benchmarks, and prepare reports to influence decision-making
  • Prepare tender packs and onboard suppliers using SAP Ariba
  • Lead budget estimations, tender, review purchase bids, negotiate with suppliers and form recommendations for executive leadership
  • Manage contract performance to drive our suppliers to meet contracted SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Assist the Executive Manager with proposals and projects, with a goal to drive value and innovation within the fixtures, fittings and equipment category

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrated project management and planning capabilities
  • Experience in property, construction, economics, marketing, legal services or consulting highly regarded
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills via MS Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Solution focused with the ability to problem solve and present ideas
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure across multiple projects
