Job Description

Interested in a career with a leading global retailer? Our Store Operations department, based at our Head Office in Minchinbury NSW, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Specialist to join the Store Operations Projects team. This is a permanent position with the ability to facilitate full-time or part-time hours.

As a Project Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating activities and meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders, and monitoring department progress to enhance our Store Operations nationally.  

What does the role look like? 

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among key stakeholders and project teams through memos, work instructions, and formal submissions
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, inclusive of scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking and follow-up action items
  • Ensure department documentation is accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, while providing recommendations for improvement
  • Track project and department progress to identify potential risks or delays, providing updates to stakeholders through generating status reports
  • Support project teams with the creation of project plans, defining project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements, including coordination and allocation of project resources
  • Support the Executive Manager as required with general administrative duties

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrated Project Coordination/Management experience within a large commercial organisation
  • Previous experience within Stores or Warehouse Operations, Retail, or FMCG is advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong business acumen
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders

This role reports to the Executive Manager - Store Operations Projects.

*Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location and experience. Minimum 4 days a week for part-time selection and remuneration will be pro-rated.
