About the Role

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Analyst has become available within the Financial Planning & Analysis team within the National Finance & Administration department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time position.

The FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) team are responsible for budgeting, forecasting and analysing financial performance to support strategic decision-making. As a Senior Analyst within this team, you will play a critical part in focusing on the discovery, definition and documentation of current and future state processes. You will be responsible for streamlining financial data workflows and enhancing system functionalities to support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

What does the role look like?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and model future state processes and solutions for system improvements.
  • Lead engagements to map and document current state (As-Is) business processes and dataflows within the FP&A function.
  • Create detailed process documentation, including flow diagrams, business requirements and functional specifications, representing current and future states.
  • Promote and drive the implementation of standardised business processes and workflows to boost efficiency and consistency across Finance teams.
  • Support development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and training on new processes and system functionalities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot financial models and reports built using Power Pivots and Power Query, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Master Data teams to implement best practices and identify improvements for data management and reporting efficiency.

What do we need from you

  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, documentation and requirements gathering to visualise current and future state processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting within a commercial setting.
  • High proficiency in business process modeling tools (such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate across various levels of the business.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficient in utilising various reporting tools to analyse data - such as Excel (including PowerPivot and PowerQuery).
  • Proven organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $159,800 - $191,500 including Superannuation.
