About the Role

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Specialist (Community Partnerships and Programs) within our Sustainability team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.

In this role, you will join a passionate team that supports ALDI's commitment to a more sustainable future. Our Sustainability team works diligently across the breadth of our operations, setting sustainability commitments and policies in critical areas such as human rights, responsible sourcing, plastics and packaging, waste and carbon, health, and community.

The magnitude of our efforts extends beyond merely setting targets; we also bear the responsibility for reporting on all ALDI’s sustainability commitments to both the Australian and International business sectors. Key responsibilities: 

  • Oversee ALDI Australia’s community investment program including program governance, day-to-day implementation, project management, and financial and business reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement employee, business partner and customer engagement programs.
  • Build and manage relationships with ALDI’s community partners to develop aligned and productive relationships.
  • Support the monitoring, development and implementation of legislative and organisational policies, guidelines, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise on ALDI’s community investment strategy and projects.

What do we need from you

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in implementing community partnerships and programs in a large corporate organisation.
  • Expertise in day-to-day management of community partnerships and programs including governance, policy implementation, risk management, contract management and finance and business reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management, with demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced communication skills with demonstrated experience researching and preparing high quality written and verbal information for key stakeholders.
  • Able to build rapport to achieve productive relationships with multiple stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically to provide solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong prioritisation skills, ensuring accuracy and focus on delivering on time and on budget.
  • Ability to take on responsibility and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
