About the Role
Join a highly impactful team as a Strategy Analyst (Commercial) in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
You will play a key role in driving financial strategies by providing clear commercial insight into how strategic initiatives and investments impact cost, profitability, and return on capital in a retail environment. You will have the opportunity to leave a lasting imprint on the business and influencing the business to maintain its competitive position in the market.
What does the role involve?
- Analyse and review market trends, key economic drivers of retail performance to connect strategies into operational activities and financial outcomes.
- Review strategic initiatives and programs for financial logic, feasibility, impact and synthesise ambiguity into clear messages.
- Support capital allocation and investment decisions through structured business cases and link operational performance to financial and RNOA outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and review of commercial frameworks and processes to optimise decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Translate complex datasets from multiple sources, financial models and develop board-ready presentations and documents.
- Report and analyse actuals against budgets and forecasts, providing in-depth commercial insights into performance.

What do we need from you
- Demonstrated experience within a commercial finance, consulting, business analysis environment or similar highly regarded.
- Background in Big 4, strategy consulting, internal strategy, or PMO highly regarded.
- Proven demonstrated experience of financial planning, analysis, developing business cases and assessing performance analysis.
- Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic business environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesis information to Executive Board stakeholders.
- Proficiency in utilising various reporting tools to analyse data- such as Excel, Think-Cell, Power Bi or Tableau.

Remuneration
- Transparent tiered salary range of $143,400 - $163,500 including Superannuation.
