About the Role

As an Supplier Compliance Coordinator - Human Rights at ALDI, you will have the unique opportunity to enhance ALDI's relationship with socially responsible fresh produce suppliers.

Be the driving force behind the organisations Human Rights policies and processes, collaborating with suppliers on a national level to ensure compliance with our standards. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, based in Minchinbury.

What does the role look like? 

  • Oversee ALDI Australia’s Fresh Produce Social Monitoring Program, ensuring compliance with social standards.
  • Collaborate with Buying teams and fresh produce business partners to address non-conformances and social audit results, providing guidance on remediation.
  • Onboard new business partners on ALDI's social standards and maintain robust records on non-conformance status.
  • Engage with social standards bodies and third-party auditors.
  • Conducting due diligence on business partners to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support projects aimed at enhancing human rights awareness and performance by working closely with internal teams and supplier partners.
  • Monitor and report on trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments related to human rights, collaborating with international sustainability teams and other ALDI countries.

What do we need from you

 

  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or corporate sustainability roles highly regarded.
  • Understanding of human rights and/or buying practices.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to build strong connections with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to apply strong analytical skills to provide data-driven recommendations on sustainability initiatives.
  • Exhibit a genuine passion for social standards, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
