Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Supply Chain Specialist (Managed Freight) within our National Supply Chain Management team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Executive Manager- Supply Chain. 

As part of the National Supply Chain Management team, your remit extends beyond day-to-day operations. You'll shape our future by developing and implementing robust supply chain strategies, refining processes and systems, and exploring opportunities to reduce costs and risks. Your pursuit of efficiency, effectiveness, and product availability will ensure ALDI's products and services reach our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining our competitive edge.

What does the role look like? 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the ALDI Managed Freight Programme’s strategy and operations
  • Analyse data and processes to determine programme risks and areas of opportunity
  • Present ALDI’s supply chain strategy and operational model to business partners globally
  • Lead the end-to-end project management of each stage of the Programme
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective programme output
  • Analyse cost discrepancies and develop solutions accordingly
  • Analyse fluctuations in KPIs and develop actions to increase ALDI’s control of inbound freight

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a supply chain, freight, account management or commercial role
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse information, develop proposals and deliver solutions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities across internal and external audiences
  • Demonstrated ability in applying a solution focused mindset
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly professional with a strategic mindset
  • SAP TM experience desirable
