Grow your career with a global retailer as a Technician (nightshift) within our National Supply Chain Management team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Team Leader - National Supply Chain.
As part of the National Supply Chain Management team, your remit extends beyond day-to-day operations. You'll shape our future by developing and implementing robust supply chain strategies, refining processes and systems, and exploring opportunities to reduce costs and risks. Your pursuit of efficiency, effectiveness, and product availability will ensure ALDI's products and services reach our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining our competitive edge.

What does the role look like?
- Support the Transportation Management team
- Utilise vehicle routing software ‘Route Planner’ and associated applications to carry out orders
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for effective planning and execution
- Ensure efficient flow of incoming and outgoing stakeholder correspondence and information
- Monitor and respond to any changes, issues, and queries
- Troubleshoot and resolve changes and/or problems to ensure smooth execution of transport plans
- Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work
- Present recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the efficient processing of information/data and support across all job functions
What do we need from you?
- Demonstrated experience within Logistics operations highly regarded
- Understanding of different vehicle types (i.e. B-doubles or rigid vehicles)
- Experience with the ‘Route Planner’ software highly regarded
- Ability to problem solve and present productive solutions
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Demonstrated experience in data and information analysis
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
