About the Role

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Buying Assistant, supporting our grocery - food categories, within our Buying team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full time permanent position.

In this pivotal role, you will join a team that is at the heart of what makes ALDI unique: our products. As part of the Buying team, you will be involved in the journey of our products, from conception to our store shelves.

What does the role look like? 

  • Assisting the Buying Director/Manager in end-to-end buying processes
  • Drive new product development (NPD) 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various suppliers
  • Deliver on project initiatives and deadlines
  • Contribute with artwork design and product specification development
  • Manage advertising brief and sample management
  • Assist in problem solving and product delivery/process issues
  • Actively plan and forecast stock
  • Providing and preparing information required for product sampling
  • Maintain confidential product and supplier records

What do we need from you

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a Buying Assistant (or similar) role
  • Comprehensive administrative experience
  • Reporting and analysis experience highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to adapt in a fast moving and agile environment
  • Ability to learn new programs, systems, and processes

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $96,800 - $107,600 including Superannuation.
