About the Role

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Technician (Freight Execution) within our National Supply Chain Management team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. 

As a technician, you will join a team dedicated to maintaining the relationships with our carriers, by planning, preparing, and processing freight activities. With an eye on continuous improvement, we are looking for a proactive individual with a robust understanding of an agile and fast-paced FMCG environment. Your pursuit of efficiency, effectiveness, and product availability will ensure ALDI's products and services reach our customers in a timely and cost-effective manner, maintaining our competitive edge.

What does the role look like? 

  • Provide timely and accurate information related to the status of freight movement
  • Maintain various supply chain matrixes, templates and spreadsheets
  • Management of efficient flow of communication with external and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in the relationship management of freight carriers and external stakeholders
  • Handle negotiations with external service providers in order to ensure optimum rates and results
  • Assist in the resolution of supply chain challenges, with a focus on long term solutions

What do we need from you

  • Background in Supply Chain, Logistics, or  Freight management highly regarded
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse information and develop solutions
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to control, manage and continually improve quality of work and efficiency
  • Previous experience working with SAP S/4 Hana highly regarded

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $80,500 - $92,600 including Superannuation
